In the frame of  young authors awards 2013 promoted by the Italian journal Sociologia del Lavoro, I have published an article that resume the main empirical findings of my PhD Thesis “The liminal condition of consultancy. Tales of work between organization and self-employment” discussed at Università degli Studi di Trento, Trento, 2nd march 2011 with Barbara Poggio and Costanzo Ranci (supervisors).

The article is entitled “Forme plurali di professionalizzazione: storie di consulenti in Italia” and it shows the four main different forms by which professionalism takes place among the Italian management consultants. The four profiles: the Yuppie, the Unwilling consultant, the SELF-employed and the Professional consultant differ by final orientation of the career (permanence vs. persistence in the professions of management consultancy) and the main positioning (managers vs. independent consultant).
