For the open access journal Recherches Sociologiques et Anthropologiques, I published in French an article entitled “Les jeunes consultants en management entre précarité et ambition“. The article discuss the role of the two main feelings that move young practitioners into management consultancy, ambition and passion, while discussing the role of passion in justifying the precarious conditions when entering management consultancy. 

The article shows clearly how practitioners ends up in a dynamic of self-exploitation, being them driven by ambition or passion. In the two cases, the firm intention of succeed in their work make them available to long working hours, to sacrifice part or their entire private life, to postpone own family formation.
