The journal Work Organisation, Labour and Globalisation has published the first special issue on the precariousness of knowledge workers. It is entitled The precariousness of knowledge workers (Part 1): hybridisation, self-employment and subjectification and it is edited by A. Murgia (University of Leeds), E. Armano and me. This special issue has been the outcome of the session we coordinated in the ISA XXVIII Congress of Sociology in Yokohama, entitled “Knowledge Workers: Processes of Hybridization, Marketization and Subjectivation”. The session was hosted by ISA RC52 “Sociology of Professional Groups” research committee.
